Poincare Mapping of the Passage of Time

Poincare Mapping of the Passage of Time by Ella Wesly In popular culture, we say change is the only constant in life. In thermodynamics, Newton said energy is constant. In this image, the ideas are connected using entropy, depicted with Poincare mapping, or the mapping of a mathematical measurement of entropy. This concept was completed in the form of a woodcut relief print, created by layering carvings done in wood using ink to transfer the image. It is an overall reference to popular doctrine by Greek philosopher, Heraclitus of Ephesus, where he stated that change is central to the universe and flows with time, shown using an elderly face.
