This goal was accomplished through use of a digital microscope, revealing the cellular structure of the silver berry scaly hair and allowing viewers to understand the plant’s essence. This image bridges science, technology and artistic expression. Use of a digital microscope enabled the analysis of a subject in a nontraditional way that captures principles of design (line and shape), which evoke the artistic qualities of the image.
