Chance Favors the Prepared, Green Frog in Pitcher Plant by Kathy Kegley

A green tree frog (hyla cinera) rests inside a yellow trumpet pitcher plant (Sarracencia flava) in Francis Marion National Forest. The pitcher plant attracts insects which often become trapped inside the funnel shaped leaf of the plant. The insects will be digested to supplement the plants nutritional requirements (if the frog doesn’t get them first!)
