Pseudo colored electron micrograph of the cyprid larvae of barnacle (Amphibalanus amphitrite). The golden colored tissue bordering the antennule opening is a chloride transport epithelium. It’s supposed involvement is helping the cyprid to settle and metamorphose into a juvenile barnacle.
