The Golden Ratio

Toby Cullings

The Golden Ratio by Toby Cullings The Fibonacci sequence is an infinite set of integers that approaches a ratio between each successive element known as the golden ratio. It is the solution to minimizing the space in between each object when placed in a circular area. The ratio is found in natural occurrences such as flower petals, seashells, hurricanes, and pine cones. The helical curve captures a visual aesthetic and rotates about the flower in the middle to signify where it is commonly found in our world. Basic arts and crafts including foam board, construction paper, and yarn were used to complete this project.
